Biography
Dolph Briscoe IV is a doctoral candidate in the Department of History at The University of Texas at Austin. He studies United States history, particularly Texas, the 1960s, and the twentieth century. Born in San Antonio, Briscoe grew up in the small South Texas town of Carrizo Springs. He received his Bachelor of Arts in History (2003) and Master of Arts in History (2006) from Baylor University. He is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Alpha Theta honor societies. Briscoe’s mentor at UT is Dr. H. W. Brands.
