The mayor of a small village in southern Turkey in the late 1970s decides to introduce television (called Visiontele by the locals) to break the monopoly on village entertainment run by an opportunistic businessman. He recruits a crazy electrician and some of his office staff to help him set up the signal receiver on top of the nearest mountain, all the while fighting accusations of doing the Devil’s work.
