Professor Diane Davis is the recipient of the 2010 W. Ross Winterowd Award, presented by JAC (Journal of Rhetoric, Culture, and Politics), for her book Inessential Solidarity: Rhetoric and Foreigner Relations. The award is presented at the meeting of the Association of Teachers of Advanced Composition at the CCCC Convention to the most outstanding book on composition theory published that year.
