AN EVENING OF CZECH CLASSICAL MUSIC
Karolina began her professional music studies at the Prague Conservatory in the Czech Republic. She then went on to earn her Bachelor's degree summa cum laude from the University of Maryland and her Master's degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She is continuing her studies at the University of Texas at Austin to earn her Doctorate with Professor Anton Nel.
She has frequently appeared in master-classes both in Europe and the United States. This marks Karolina's fourth summer appearance at the Aspen Music Festival. Also interested in conducting, she has performed at the EAMA festival at the "Ecole Normale du Paris" in the tradition of Nadia Boulanger during 2008 and 2009. Karolina has been interested in connecting her musicianship with an early acting career. She played the title roles in two movies produced in the Czech Republic and made by the Czech Television, Variations of Glory and In Love, of a young pianist and violincellist. For her performance in In Love, she was awarded first prize for the best young female actress in the festivals in Rheims and audiences' prize in the Festivals of Montevideo and Chicago.
