ITL 348 - Italian Drama Workshop  presents  Five short plays in Italian from  Mistero Buffo by Dario Fo and Franca Rame  

Four performances in  FAC 21 (Flawn Academic Center)  Thursday, November 19 at 8pm  Sunday, November 22 at 8pm Wednesday, December 2 at 3:30pm Friday, December 4 at 8pm  FREE ADMISSION    Dario Fo (born March 24, 1926), is an Italian satirist playwright, theater director, actor, painter, and composer. He received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1997. He uses methods of commedia dell\\\'arte and works closely with his wife, the leading actress Franca Rame with whom he founded the theater company Compagnia Dario Fo-Franca Rame in 1959, in Milan. In 1969 Fo and Rame presented for the first time Mistero Buffo (Comic Mystery), a play of monologues based on the mix of medieval plays and topical issues. It was very popular in Italy and many other countries around the world and had 5000 performances even in sports arenas.
