Seeking a Graduate Student or Senior Undergraduate Intern who is a strong researcher and writer to support a non-profit that has received local and national attention for its role in sharing the experiences of women who became first-time mothers after age 35, a growing demographic trend.
This is an important topic of growing interest in the field of Medical Sociology, Women’s Studies and Population Studies.
Most recently, the project was featured on KVUE-TV (ABC) News in Austin and more media stories are coming this month.
The intern will support the editor in literature reviews and original writing and editing for publication for the website advancedmaternalage.org.
Collaboration will include being a research assistant for original research on the topic, including a scheduled Storytelling Workshop to gather qualitative feedback from women and its analysis.
You will support the writing of articles, reports and white papers based on this original qualitative research in the Fall of 2013.
Commitment is for six months and includes monthly meetings in North Austin. Stipend provided. College credit may be available.
