Can we legislate, regulate or litigate ourselves thinner?
What role can, or should, law play in our national fight against obesity? How useful are interventions such as menu labeling requirements, soda bans, and fast food taxes? Should we sue McDonald's, or bring criminal charges against parents with obese children for child neglect?
Case Western Reserve School of Law Acting Dean Jessica Berg addresses these issues at a presentation on Wednesday, February 19 at 1pm at Liberal Arts Career Services (FAC 18).Following the 30 minute talk, Dean Berg will meet with pre-law students and answer questions about applying to and attending law school.
This free event is open to all majors and classifications. Pre-law students as well as those interested in the health professions are encouraged to attend. Pizza will be provided.
