Plan II Thesis Registration

Once you have decided on a topic, read through the Plan II Thesis Manual and the Thesis Guidelines. The thesis registration procedure is as follows:

• Complete Step One of the thesis registration form using the two-semester Thesis Registration form (PDF, 71K). The two-semester form is also available in the Plan II office. Registration for the one-semester thesis option requires special permission from the Plan II Associate Director.
• Arrange to meet with Plan II the Associate Director to obtain approval of your topic and planned supervisor. Thesis registration advising hours will be posted prior to registration periods. The associate director will sign off on Step One of the Registration form, which will clear you to add the appropriate thesis course during your normal registration period.
• Complete Step Two of the thesis registration form NO LATER THAN the last class day of the semester prior to starting the thesis course.  This form requires signatures from both your thesis supervisor and second reader, so PLAN AHEAD. Students who fail to turn in Step Two by the deadline will be dropped from the thesis course.

If you are doing a departmental thesis, please submit the Departmental Thesis registration form to Mary Dillman.
