The Thomas Jefferson Center for the Study of Core Texts and Ideas invites all interested faculty, students and friends of the university to its first lecture of the 2009-10 school year.
Stanislav Zimic, professor of Spanish and Portuguese, will discuss Miguel De Cervantes’ "Don Quixote" and the differences in novelistic structure and characterization in the two parts (1605, 1615). Zimic is the author of four books and numerous monographic studies on Cervantes’ works. This lecture will be followed up with an informal discussion of the book organized by the Jefferson Book Club.
