Graduate Student Anima Adjepong Receives Three-Year Ford Foundation Fellowship

Thu, April 4, 2013

Graduate student Anima Adjepong has been awarded a three-year Predoctoral Fellowship sponsored by the Ford Foundation.

Anima Adjepong's research interests lie at the intersection of gender, race, and sexuality. She is currently studying how sport is a contested site for the (re)production of racialized and gendered identities.

The Predoctoral Fellowships are awarded in a national competition administered by the National Research Council (NRC) on behalf of the Ford Foundation. Awards are made to individuals who, in the judgment of the review panels, have demonstrated superior academic achievement, are committed to a career in teaching and research at the college or university level, show promise of future achievement as scholars and teachers, and are well prepared to use diversity as a resource for enriching the education of all students. In 2013, the Ford Fellowship Program will award approximately 60 predoctoral fellowships.

Way to go, Anima!
