Graduate Student Awarded for Thesis and Research

Sociology graduate student Anima Adjepong has recently won an Outstanding Thesis Award, which will be presented at the Michael H. Granof Graduate Student Awards. The criteria for selection are based on scholastic achievement at the highest level, creative contributions beyond degree or departmental requirements, commitment to diversity, and exceptional service to UT Austin. The Awards Ceremony will be held at the Texas Union Ballroom on Friday, May 2, 2014, at 5:00 pm.

Anima is also the 2014 recipient of the Temple Award in the Study of Women in History. The CWGS Awards Reception is on May 6 from 3:30-5:00 pm in BUR 214.
