Fall ’12 Courses
Fall 2012 course descriptions are now posted. Offerings include two courses taught by visiting professor Anthony Giardina, "First-Year Seminar: Writers & Their Obsessions" and a reading course on social class in the American novel; a fiction workshop with visiting English author Jim Crace; Dean Young's poetry workshop; and a long-form journalism workshop with Stephen Harrigan.
Keene Winners
The 2012 Keene Prizes in Literature of UT's College of Liberal Arts were announced. The 50k top award went to MCW's spring fiction graduate, Fiona McFarlane, who has twice been a finalist. Runners-up were MCW's Carolina Ebeid, a poet also graduating this month, and first-year poet Corey Miller, as well as spring 2012 English graduate Corinne Greiner for her nonfiction. Congratulations, everyone!

• Alix Ohlin (MFA 2001) has a new novel and a new story collection published this summer: Inside comes out from Knopf and Signs and Wonders from Vintage, both on June 5, 2012.
• Also releasing on June 5 is a new volume co-authored by twin poets and 2005 alums Michael & Matthew Dickman, 50 American Plays, from Copper Canyon.
