W.S. Livingston Chair in Poetry of the MCW & UT Dept of English Dean Young has been named 2014 Texas Poet Laureate. • James Magnuson has sold his latest novel, FAMOUS WRITERS I HAVE KNOWN, to W.W. Norton, with a January 2014 publication date planned. See recent NY Times Arts Beat blog post about the novel's origins and inspirations---hint, it's set in an MFA program.
